ALMOST AS GOOD AS BEING THERE

WELCOME

All of our programmes are exclusively buses in service. No rallies or running days, no still shots, no interviews, foreign operators, milk floats, trucks...........well, you get the picture. Buses in service - O.K.
Early releases contained sequences filmed in a wide range of locations, basically released in the order in which they were filmed, starting with our earliest footage taken in March 1988. More recently, we have adopted a geographical area format, and released concurrently both modern and archive film.
We sell via mail order, and from a well stocked sales stand with which we attend rallies, running days and other bus events all over the country.
We can accept credit and debit cards, personal cheques and Postal Orders, and our Mail Order service is second to none, with very rapid turnaround times.
So what do you get for your hard-earned cash.
Each programme is recorded onto a premium brand DVD-R disc, using a professional duplicator and copied at the slowest speed setting to ensure quality reproduction. Each lasts for a little over one hour, which does not include any titles or trailers, these being in addition to the programme length. The disc itself is printed with the same image that appears on the case. The case (standard 14mm) has a printed sleeve, giving details of the programme, and a summary of the content.
The programme is menu driven, that is to say, after loading, a menu will be displayed, showing each location covered. You can choose any of the locations by clicking on it with your mouse, or pointing with your remote control. Your machine documentation will help you if need be. Once a segment is loaded, the programme will automatically play all subsequent segments sequentially. Depending on the operating characteristics of your machine, you should be able to move between segments at will.
All of our productions are recorded in the PAL format. However, multi-region DVD players will accept them without difficulty. They will play in ANY computer equipped with a DVD reader/player, but picture quality might not be as good as on a television.
As you would expect, all our discs are unconditionally guaranteed in respect of faults. Any disc that fails to play in a compatible machine, or does not play throughout as it should, will be replaced and your postage costs refunded. We do ask that you try a suspected faulty disc on another machine before returning it to us, to establish beyond doubt that the fault lies with the disc.
Finally, buses are a hobby for all of us. We want you to enjoy our productions, and watch them time and again. A lot of care goes into filming, editing, producing and distributing our products. Any comments, suggestions or indeed complaints, are always welcome, and will be treated respectfully and promptly. If you chance upon our stall at a rally, then do please drop by and say hello. There is usually one of our programmes on demonstration, and we are happy to give you a brief preview of any programme you are interested in.

Update No.14

RUMOURS OF MY DEATH ARE GREATLY EXAGGERATED!
Several years of burning the candle at both ends finally caught up with me - with a vengeance! Running this little business very soon took over our lives. What started as a small hobby grew very rapidly into a major operation, and Val and I were totally overwhelmed.
A succession of different, but related ailments, has seen me laid low since last September, with just a couple of Rally appearances, and no new programmes. This has culminated in a mild stroke, but there fortunately appears to be no lasting ill-effects. On top of all this, I have had cataracts removed from both eyes!
We will continue, but at a much reduced level of activity. I need to gradually get back into the swing of things, without over doing anything.
Over the last two years, far too much time has been devoted to attending various rallies all over the country - the economics of this are very questionable. Event organisers obviously want to maximise their income from stall rents, but this has created a situation at some of the smaller events where we have travelled several hundred miles and worked a 14 hour day and finished up breaking even - several have actually produced a loss. Much as we love to attend these events and meet customers and other enthusiasts, it is no longer sustainable, so we will be far more selective in future.
Also up for review later this year is the subject of credit and debit card payments. It costs us over six hundred pounds per year for the plastic option, that’s before we start. There is then a charge for each card processed. We need to look carefully at possible alternatives.
